Pursuant to Article 169 of Regulation (EEC) 2454/93 (application of the Community Customs Code), when one of the elements used to establish the customs value of a commodity is expressed in a different currency from that of the Member State in which the assessment takes place (in our case, therefore, from Euro) it is necessary to use, for the purposes of conversion, an exchange rate set on the basis of the rules contained in articles 168 to 172 of the same regulation.
On the basis of these rules, the exchange rate in question is that established and published by the competent Authority and remains in force, with the necessary safeguard clauses, for a fixed period of time.
The exchange rates indicated below reflect the quotations published by the European Central Bank and refer to the currencies most frequently used by Italian operators in international trade.
They take back the rates set by the B.C.E. the penultimate Wednesday of each month and remain in force for the whole month following that of their detection, unless they are replaced following changes, equal to or greater than 5%, which occur on the following Wednesday.
For currencies that are not included in the list, on the other hand, the exchange rate fixed daily by the Bank of Italy must be used.

Exchange rates in force from 01/12/2017 to 31/12/2017 in accordance with art. 53 of the CDU (EU Regulation No. 952/2013) and art. 146 of the R.E. (EU) n. 2015/2447.

All quotations are determined in units of foreign currency against euro.
